I visited Futarasan Shrine to see the sights of Nikko, as it was recommended to me that I should go to this shrine because it has great power to break off unnecessary ties and bring new ones together.
Nikko Futaarasan Shrine
History
Nikko Futarasan Shrine is located in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, and the main deity is called Ohonamuchi no Mikoto, the god of good fortune and matchmaking. Surrounded by lush greenery and majestic trees, the shrine is a place where one can feel relaxed just by visiting.
Access
From Tobu Nikko Station, it is about a 10-minute cab or bus ride or a 30-minute walk. When we visited on Saturday, the road to Futarasan Shrine was so congested that it took about an hour to drive there, so we walked to the shrine. The road to the shrine has souvenir shops and restaurants where you can eat Nikko’s specialty, yuba (bean curd), so it is recommended to walk to the shrine while taking a side trip.
precincts
The entrance is dignified, surrounded by magnificent nature and clean air.
It was such a divine atmosphere that just by coming here, I naturally felt as if everything I did not need was being stripped away.
Visit the pure rabbit with round eyes that will make your wish come true☆
I also bought a good luck charm to help me get a good job and friends. It comes in three colors: pink, light blue, and white, and I bought the limited edition color because the white one is only available for a limited time.
Lunch
Yubamaki ZEN
We had lunch at Zen, where you can enjoy Nikko’s specialty, yuba.
In a relaxed Japanese-modern space, we enjoyed a variety of slightly sweet yuba as much as we wanted on the menu.
All the dishes are gently and elegantly seasoned, and you can spend a relaxing time in the quiet restaurant.
Gift shop
WOODMOCC
WOODMOCC” is a store filled with tableware and cutlery made of wood.
You will find tableware and other items that convey the warmth of wood.
Matching chopsticks
The smooth surface of this natural bowl allows you to enjoy the material of the wood. I bought the dark brown (large) one for miso soup. I love this bowl because it is a dusty bowl and a handsome design that is hard to find.
Petty knife with a special price, I bought one anyway because I didn’t know how sharp it was.
The sharpness was so good that I regretted that I should have bought more for handing out as souvenirs if they were 200 yen.
Bowls purchased for bowls of rice or soup with many ingredients. The chic pattern complements dishes.
Since it is located near Tobu Nikko Station, please stop by on your way home to commemorate your trip with a new set of tableware or to look for souvenirs!
The person who recommended this shrine to me said that it was really powerful and that miraculous things would happen within a month or so of visiting the shrine.
I went to the shrine with a light heart, thinking that there was no way that such a thing could happen. I forgot all about the miracle that would happen within a month and went on with my life as usual, but about three weeks after my visit, something happened that forced me to live a completely different life from the one I had lived before. ・・・・ I thought this must be God’s guidance, and recently I went to pay my respects to him to ask him to connect me with a new relationship. Of course, I can’t come here often this time, so I made an excuse to myself and bought some tableware at WOODMOCC. I spend my days looking at the bowls, asking myself what God’s power is like and whether the last time was just a coincidence.
